Who we are

The Black Water Hose is what happens when two different corners of the country crash together — James out of Los Angeles, chasing sound and motion, and Shane from the Louisiana swamps, where everything moves slow but hits deep. They met in Dallas, plugged in, and the rest fell into place.

The music isn’t polished up or dressed down — it’s just real. Guitars with dirt on them, drums that breathe, and lyrics that come from somewhere honest. We’re not trying to reinvent anything — just to make it feel alive again.
